We envision Mongolia's future as a technology-driven country, so our mission is advancing computer science in Mongolia. To realize it, we work with our U.S. partners to bring the best computer science curricula to students through our academy here in Mongolia.
As a Fulbright scholar myself, with a Master's in Computer Science from the University of Missouri, I have always wanted to help bright young Mongolian minds reach their potential in the field of CS. Since founding Codercub, I have strived to create the best learning experience for our students, in terms of curriculum, teacher caliber, and learning environment. To date, we have taught more than 1,200 students and trained over 100 teachers.

- Summer of 2018: Founded as the first K-12 coding academy in the country
- Became the International Partner of CodeAI (then Code.org)
- Dale Musser, Ph.D. (University of Missouri) taught at Summer of Code 2019 (InITialize) in Ulaanbaatar to 50+ students
- Presented at the CSEdCon in Las Vegas, NV, U.S.
- Admitted into the Innovation Hub incubator (Business & Innovation Dept. of the Municipality of Ulaanbaatar)
- Co-organized an Hour of Code with the municipality for 80+ underrepresented children
- Ono Gantsog (Shirley Ryan AbilityLab) taught at Data Science Fundamentals
- Jake Bell (Code.org) taught at a virtual Hour of Code for Codercub students
- Attended the CSEdCon in Los Angeles, CA, U.S.
- Rebecca Bailey (Mendocino County Office of Education) taught at a virtual Hour of Code for Codercub students
- Jared O’Leary and Heather Cunningham (BootUp PD) taught at the Summer of Code 2022 (Young Coders Camp) in Ulaanbaatar

- With the help of ASIA Onlus, organized our first PD to 70+ teachers in rural Mongolia (Sukhbaatar province)
- Co-organized the Code Olympiad 2023 with Coding Bee Academy from Indonesia

- Became Scratch Foundation's SEC organization in Mongolia

- Organized Summer of Code camps in Chicago, IL, Arlington, VA, Bay Area, CA, and Los Angeles, CA, U.S.
- Waris Candra (Micro:bit Foundation) visited Codercub in Ulaanbaatar
- Became a "MizzouMade" business
- Attended the APCEC in Tokyo, Japan
- Established a state-of-the-art computer science academy at the newly built EduPark center in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia
- Tim Barnes (Carnegie Mellon University) taught at the Summer of Code 2025 in Ulaanbaatar
- Presented at the APCEC in Bangkok, Thailand
- Co-organized an AI workshop to 50+ teachers in rural Mongolia (Tov province) with Mongolian National Institute for Educational Research
- Mason Borgio (8th grade) is our first student to pass the CPCS exam to earn the CMU credits
- Simon Guest (Code.org) taught at the Summer of Code 2026 (Future Intelligence Lab) in Ulaanbaatar

Ranked #2 in computer science by U.S. News and #3 worldwide by QS. Through the CPCS pathway and our CS0 and CS1 courses, students can earn official CMU credit.
BootUp PD
Collaboration on teacher-training methods and materials. BootUp instructors taught at our Summer of Code 2022 (Young Coders Camp) in Ulaanbaatar.
